Ivana Trump has split from her Italian ex-husband Rossano Rubicondi — again.
“I am once again a single woman,” Trump told Page Six exclusively. “I have the freedom to do what I want, with whomever I want to, and I can afford my lifestyle.”
Trump told us that the couple have known each other for 15 years: They dated for six years before marrying in a lavish 3 million ceremony at Mar-a-Lago in 2008. They divorced in 2009 and dated other people before reuniting again shortly after.
“The relationship just ran its course,” Trump — the mother of First Family members Donald Jr., Eric and Ivanka — told us. “Rossano spends a lot of time in Italy and I spend a lot of time in New York, Miami and St-Tropez, and he has to work,” she said. “The long-distance relationship really doesn’t work. We had a good time and are friends. The split was amicable.”
Former model Rubicondi has reportedly been planning to open a New York pizza joint, called “Rossano to Go,” but it never seemed to materialize.
Last year, the pair were spotted having a feisty dinner at chic Upper East Side restaurant La Goulue where a spy told us: “He kept talking to her in French, and she goes, ‘Can you just shut up?’” (Rubicondi complained in an email about the item at the time — though it was unclear what the issue was, and the note ended with, “Have a great day.”)
He was Trump’s fourth husband after Alfred Winklmayr, Donald Trump and Riccardo Mazzucchelli.
Now, “I don’t want to get married again,” she told us. “I’m done. You get married because you want a family. I have three kids and grandkids. I just want to be free and go where I want to go with whoever I want. I want to be a free woman.”
She further added, “I don’t want to date. I like to have companions, and I have plenty of men who take me for lunches and dinners and balls or charity events. I don’t want to be attached.”
She’s now off to St-Tropez for the summer where she’ll host house guests.
“I am going to have a fabulous summer,” she declared.
When reached for comment, Rubicondi told us: “Think whatever you want to think.”
Though he added, “Ivana is always family for me” and she has a “good heart … we are super close. I have good respect for her.”
